Calvin Will be Playing for the Islanders on Wed night, I'll gurantee it. The lslanders play in Philadelphia and Saskatoon. Both Games are televised if you have the Super Sports Pak. I'm planning on watching both games and will watch the Defence with interest.

de Haan HAS CHANCE TO SHINE
Injury to Streit has opened the door for de Haan. The coach is happy with him during camp. Time will tell.

Re: NHL TRAINING CAMPS (Gens Players)
Yes, by the sounds of it, its opened the door for 3 defencemen to grab the one spot, that said the news out of the Island is that they are exploring all options including, waivers, a signing, and a trade. The problem with keeping Dehaan, is what to do with him when Strait returns. The injury has yet to be confirmed by the Islanders, and so it could be anywhere from a few months to the whole season. If its only gonna be part of the season though, then your using up an entire year of a rookies entry level deal. This is an important factor for rebuilding teams, because if you have many talented rookies, you have a limited window before signing them for big dollars and salary cap issues (chicago is an example).
I'd say right now it sounds more likely he is returned to us, that said anything can happen and it looks worse for the Gens now then it did a few days ago.
