Re: Jeff Brown
So when he comes back the coaching staff evaluates where he fits in the plan. He should be given a chance to show what he brings to the team.
He is a year older and this is a different coaching staff with Cirella there.
Who knows what injuries there might be at that point.
An OA must play on your top two lines. I think Brown has the capability to do that if he bring what he showed flashes of in the past.

Re: Jeff Brown
I like to see Jeff Brown traded for an overage defenseman to get that added strength and experience on the back end. Both Hope and McDowell will be good yound defensemen for the future, so trading Jeff for a solid experience overage defensemen will help immensely this year. Add Emerson into that trade. Don't get me wrong I like Emerson for his will and determination, however his hockey skills are not OHL caliber.

Your not going to get a solid defencemen for Brown and even if you throw in Clarke as you said he is not OHL caliber, so what other OHL team would want either and give up a solid defencemen.it's nice to dream,I dream every friday night wishing I would win the LOTTO MAX

Re: Jeff Brown
Unless an OA player is outstanding there is not going to be much offered. I'm not sure what teams have 4 OA's at this point.
Let him play and show what he can do.

Re: Jeff Brown
O A's only get traded for prospects and draft picks and thats the best we will get in return for trading Brown. We will not get a better O A in a trade for a lower O A, what gm would do that?

Re: Jeff Brown
We have 9 players on Defense - why add more - the only way to improve is to play
With De haan - Dehart - Valentine - Sullentroop - Quinn - that's a good top 5 - who will get better - So who would you add to replace which def - an OA
should be a top 4 - so who goes - no one

Re: Jeff Brown
If he's ready to go Friday i'd sit him until Saturday or Sunday.
Why?
3 in 3 seems harsh after no training camp and no in game experience since last march, and fresh blood injected into a weary line up at the end of a 3 in 3.
Welcome back Brown!

Re: Jeff Brown
For an OA spot, he either needs to be in the top 2 lines or move him out. I like Brown in some ways, however I think we can do better than him for an OA spot. I would love to see Kerbashian here. He is an OA and actually has some skills.

Re: Jeff Brown
Can anyone explain to me how we are carrying 25 bodies?
I thought it was like the NHL max 23 man roster.

Re: Jeff Brown
ok so then our roster is 27. I wasn't including them.
They announced 5 skratches last night. Wilson, Mcdowell, Clark, Zupancic and Sabourin.
