New Rule to take effect Friday Nov. 26th

It seems that as of this coming Friday the OHL is trying to clamp down on fighting.
If a player is to fight at the beginning of the game before puck drop or in a face off circle during a game there will be normal penalties accessed. As well, the team will be fined 500.00 and the players involved will each receive a one game suspension.
Second infraction and the fine and suspension is doubled and so on.
This according to the commentators tonight during the Owen Sound and Sarnia game.

That is not entirely correct. The rule is at the start of a game or period, not in a faceoff circle during a game. Here is the Official Statement from the OHL...

I was just relating what they had said and after reading the article this morning
in my email I stand corrected.

they should have made the rule change at the beginning of the season not in the middle of it but that's nothing new for david branch and his rule changes just saying.
