I had forgotten that games in Plymouth aren't on the Action Pack. Thanks for the link. That's a downer but I really should be marking exams so maybe that's a good thing that I only have audio. Laughing

On the topic of third periods, Ottawa almost blew it in the third again. They were up 3-0 after two, sat back for the whole period and let Kingston make a charge, ended up 3-2. To be honest, they didn't play that well for most of the game but they were even worse in the third.

Well we lost 4 0, the Gen's played well, especially in the 3rd but we ran into a hot goalie, that guy was a brick wall tonight.

I'll take a guess that you where not @ the game, watched on t.v. nor did you listen to it on the radio because if you had you would have a different opinion!

Correct , I was not at the game , did not watch on tv , however did listen to both games on the radio
Solid win against Saginaw 4-1 w , solid loss against Plymouth 4-0 L
Please explain 2 solid efforts when you do not score a goal against a team you should and could beat

yes....you are right!
we sould beat every team in the league every time we get on the ice! according to you, unfortunatly we need to deal with reality.
they played well! period.
i really don't understand you statment....they have 14 rookies/new players on this team . like come on what do you expect...we missed the playoff's the last 3 years in a row...lol you should actually be enjoying this for a change.
BTW......Matt Mahalak stood on his head & stoped 36 shots but you would know that cause you said you listened to the game...crist even the play-by-play guy said it!

Should and could beat? The Whalers and Generals are both solid teams with identical point totals. Granted, the Gens have played two less games but that's more than offset by the fact that Plymouth has to play more games against tougher Western Conference opposition. The Greyhounds are in last place in the west with 38 points - in the East, that would place them comfortably in a playoff position. No easy games for the Whalers. They're a solid team. The Gens outplayed them by the sounds of it on the audio broadcast but ran into a hot goalie.

Whether it was a solid effort or not, a split in a weekend with tough opposition is a good result.

Biggest positive on the weekend: Averaged only three penalty kills per game.

I fully agree with gensrock on their goalie. Like I previously posted on this thread, we ran into a hot goalie last night, plain and simple. I also heard the play by play guy saying things like how did that stay out. 4 0 with the empty netter is not getting spanked. We played better than them last night, just couldn't buy a goal. It happens!!!

I was at the game and the lads played a very strong game! Yes the Whalers goalie was solid . Our lads shot every thing they could at him, he stood on his head for this one. The boys played a solid 60 minutes in both games this weekend. We couldn't ask for anything more of them, sure a win would be nice, but so would winning a million dollars and that doesn't happen every day either !!!

I was at both games to and could agree more with you,Saginaw game was problably the best game the Gen's ever played, and for Plymouth just a 1 minute goal scored against, but after that like UGENS said a solid game,
now we have 6 games that are winable and if we play like the way we played this past weekend should take all 6 but can't take the foot of the gas pedal. cheers
