Gens vs Petes - Sun Dec 4 - 6:05 pm
We must play the same type of game as Friday vs Sarnia - the effort I thought was great - they got 2 fluky goals - but Baille played well
We cannot think this will be easy because we have beaten the Petes last time - last game Baille won that game for us
We need these 2 points after this up north for 2 - Soo & Sudbury where we do not play well plus no Jenner & Thomas
GO GENS GO

Impressed
Very impressed with the new approach in the offensive zone, little less carrying the puck in circles around the net looking for an opening to pass, and a lot more, tossing garbage towards the net and either getting a deflection, or short 3-5 foot passes for tap in. Think the new approach can work. Now, to get 60 minutes of good goal-tending.
While Baillie was a little shaky at times, he made a great save on a break-away when the game was tied at 4, off Thompson (dirty 70's porno stache) I think, team scored and never looked back after that.
Now, let's try the same (minus the shaky tending early on) with the Pete's!

Haven't lost to the Petes all season, so why start tonight?
Bailie has played every game against Peterborough and has won them all, so let's hope he can beat the Petes for a 4th consecutive time!

Do we know Bailie is starting for a fact? Given how he played on Friday, I'd start Altshuller.

That is as good a game as I have seen the Generals play this year. 9-1, or even it was a 2-1 win. They played hard, strong all game long. Passes were much better, tons of shots on net. Some great playmaking, and defence was quality as well.
Bailie played well. No too many men penalty, which is always nice to see. lol.
If they can play this well from here on out, the East should look out.

Agreed..with everything above. Best game I've seen them play this year. Pleased to see they cut down on penalties!

Ah, 4-0 head to head against the Petes. Just feels right.
Fantastic job by the Gens!
This is what we thought we'd see this season, exciting playmaking, lots of hard work, commitment...I like that through 2 periods in their last 2 games, the shots given up have only been 17 and 20 respectively. Some great steps in the right direction.
Thomas with 9 points (3G, 6A), Andreoff (3G, 3A) and Laughton (1G, 5A) each with 6 points in their last 2 games.
Let's keep the good times rolling on the northern swing!

Great game. Playing with pride, playing a north south game instead of the circle back every shift.
Nice to see Bailie place his rebounds and he followed the play very well....Keep that black mask.....Fun to watch boys

Re: Gens vs Petes - Sun Dec 4 - 6:05 pm
So CHL suspensions are different then international suspensions correct? so even if he gets a suspension he will play if he makes the World Juniors?
Anything less then 10 is a joke considering what Thomas got. That being said he's a league poster boy right now especially for his work in the Peterorough community so 2 games? lol
If the Gens can play this way the rest of the year they will be fine, 17-5 in 6 periods played.

I'm going to go ahead and predict 5 games for that hit. I am, of course using the standard for estimating suspensions. The forumla is simple: A Gens player would get 10, so naturally this will be 5. lol

ok, i didn't realize that, but just to clarify the rules, what if it had been Jenner that took a suspension? he would be eligible for team canada?

I think he would be eligible as it is a IIHF event not CHL.....may also be a discretion thing
