We have another big game tomorrow night! I am very excited to see this one.

Oshawa won last time in the 67's barn. Two OHL games on tonight. London/Owen Sound is on Rogers Sportsnet. Do the 67's play on a larger ice surface than most teams? Looks like it on tv. LETS GO YOU GENNIES..............(wait for it)....... WOO!!!!!!!

No, the Ottawa Ice Surface is the same as Oshawa 200' X 85'

Nice to see us get the last minute goal this time.
ETA: ...only to give up a goal in the first minute of the following period.

Re: Gens VS 67's
i think Agnew gave Daniel the hook for a few minutes to collect himself. Kevin may start the 3rd.

If you looked at the final score and hadn't watched the game, you'd probably never guess we had the lead starting the 2nd. That was quite a 2nd period, 5 goals against and 5 penalties.
46 points by the end of the weekend is still possible...let's hope that's what we have!

Re: Gens VS 67's
A pretty brutal 2nd and 3rd period, after dominating them in the first. For a supposedly no-nonsense, play my way or don't play at all coach, I could not believe that Andreoff and Jenner kept getting thown out there every other shift in the third. Andreoff took two dumb penalties that cost two goals on the ensuing Ottawa PP, and I'm pretty sure that he came out of the box after the second one and played the next shift. How do you get them to play disciplined when you reward this stuff? What a frustrating team. All the talent there and still in 9th place...

Judging someones decisions are easy when the choice was not yours to make.

Re: Gens VS 67's
I suppose, but with the depth up front, our current position in the standings and number of games remaining, it soon has to be time to say, if you don't come to play, somebody there is somebody more than capable of bumping you down in the lineup.

And having the balls to make those decisions are easy when you have said balls. Therin lies the problem. There are no consequences for stupid play. Only rewards.

Yes and that is why we have opinions.
Maybe if the GM or Coaching job opens up after this season is over you may want to consider putting your name in.
of course is just my opinion which means nothing to you

Re: Gens VS 67's
Well I'm on record saying it should have been blown up. So I'm not judging what happened just restating my original opinion to blow off steam. Had nothing to do with one blow out so let's bash the GM and everything to do with the team taking the wrong road.

I dont discount anyones opinion, having said that, it is clear mine does not match with yours on this. I'm sure many other as well diagree with me, etc. My reply to you was more based on frustration regarding what coaches say vs what they do. To Agnews credit, this has gone on long before he arrived, and it really started when JT landed here. Coaches trying toohard not to upset players, or at least that was how I take it. No shot at you intended.

Re: Gens VS 67's
I'm on the record in the trade deadline thread as being undecided on what I would like to see done. Having seen what Dipiero has done, I fully agree with his decision. I think our goaltending is no worse than it was when we made the conference finals with Borden in net, and our defence may even be better now. My issue now is with the guys behind the bench, whodespite the upgraded personnel, insist on playing (who I believe is) their worst defenceman 30+ minutes a game still. Well, that and rewarding dumb penalties with additional icetime.
I'll end with saying that I am glad that we went for it this year, cause we could be losing many of our top guys next year, which would have sparked another two or three years of rebuilding (like the Petes keep getting stuck doing)
