ok BIGGSTIME.......i concur with your thoughts , and while we are there , we need to talk about your boy Biggs play , he is REALLY struggling , not sure whether its the fact hes not used to playing so many games , or whether its something else , looks like he is a step behind in all areas of the game right now , my sense is that he is leg weary because of the schedule , my point is this , i think the coach should pull him off the ist line with jenner and dalcolle , cuz he's not up to the tempo or skill level thses two guys require right now .
he's hurting the top line , anybody notice Jenner;s production has dropped off , its not for a lack of trying ,Jenner still has the wheels , to me its Biggs , coming out of College where you play 30 games or less , and then into the competative level of the ohl with 70 plus games , its tough on a kid .
but we cant just put blinders on , i hope the coaching staff sees this , jenner 's and dal colles productiion is too important to be dragged down at this point !
I would move Biggs down a line or two , move Lessio or Sabourin up .
this is why i think Biggs would benifit from another year in junior , big mistake by Burke keeping him in college last year !
I think the coaching staff sees this to some extent because Biggs is really short shifted , but that doesnt solve the problem in its entirety because it disturbes the flow of the shift for the other two guys
I really hope something gets done about this soon !

Re: GENS VS. BARRIE COLTS....2ND RD
The Colts have beat us 3 out of 4 games this year.
They play a similar style to Oshawa, and these games should be some great hockey. They are fast, they can hit, and they can score. Just like the gens.
As I have mentioned on a previous post, if we have any chance of winning..we have to take very few penalties. They will eat us alive on the Power play. The gens cannot take any shifts off, and bury the chances we get. (we need to hit the net and get traffic) To beat this goalie, dirty goals will be essential for any Generals victories. Too fancy, too much "I" can be the team myslef, and we are going to have a lot of trouble. They are equal in scoring power and options. We just have to make ours count every time.
I think the penalty issue is going to be what wins the series for either team. And our power play has been in the toilet lately. We try to be too fancy. We got to get in burn them and keep playing hard.
I think this could be a 7 game series. That is how close both teams are in my opinion. So will home ice be the advantage? Let's hope not!!!
I am so excited...Let's Go Gens!!!!

The games were alot closer than a 3-1 Barrie win. Two Barrie wins were in a Shootout. The Gens outshot Barrie every game including 174 to 129 overall. Three of the games were before Christmas and one was in January. The two games that weren't shootouts were two goal wins by each team. The Gens hung tough throughout all of it WITHOUT their full lineup. PS.. The Gens win was 3-1 in Barrie.
