Round 2 vs Niagara ??

With the Generals completing the 1st round sweep of the Mississauga Steelheads and the 7th seeded Niagara Icedogs up 3 games to 1 on the North Bay Battalion it looks like the Generals will catch a bit of a break in round 2. If North Bay happens to come back the Gens will likely get a Barrie Colts squad who have looked very good in round 1 vs the Sudbury Wolves.

Every team is in action tomorrow and Barrie, Niagara & Kingston can all wrap up their series in the East while Guelph & Soo Sault Marie can also wrap up their series in the west. If all the teams leading their series win tomorrow is there any chance that a Oshawa vs Niagara game 1 would be scheduled for Sunday night ?

the Conference Semi's are shaping up to look like,
(1) Oshawa Generals vs (7) Niagara Icedogs
(3) Kingston Frontenacs vs (4) Barrie Colts

(1) Guelph Storm vs (4) London Knights
(2) Soo Sault Marie Greyhounds vs (3) Erie Otters

There is a strong possibility BUT - a lot of ifs still exist

The Petes could win 2 more then if North Bay wins 2 more then we play the Petes

If Niagara wins 1 more we play Niagara - BUT NORTH BAY is so strong - whoever wins in Niagara Sunday likely wins the series

We play Niagara if they win - even if the Petes pull the upset

The outside possibility also is Barrie - Kingston and North Bay win their series - then we play Barrie

The Western Conference semi-final schedule is out already.

Guelph and London are starting on Friday, April 4th.

Sault Ste. Marie and Erie are starting on Wednesday, April 2nd.

Game 7 in North Bay and Kingston ahead 3 - 0 in Peterboro

It is looking more like Barrie - top 4 seeds move on

Kingston - Peterborough up 5-4 in the 3rd.
Game 7 in North Bay on Tuesday.

As a Generals fan I'd love to see us take on the lowest seed possible, but as a hockey fan I'd love to see Oshawa vs Peterborough. The generals have some success against them, an it's close enough to travel to away games, an well it would be an all out war. I hope to god we avoid Barrie until the East Final. I caught 3 games of the Colts Vs Wolves series and the Colts dominated Sudbury. An that was without Blandisi all series Theorett for a couple games & Ekblad for a game. I believe Fawcett missed 2 with the flu as well. The Colts are deep, an play physical and fast. As a Generals fan it pains me to say this but I think they're the team to beat in the East.

Tomorrow's games are going to be great to watch,
I do hope Pete's beat the Front's and the Dogs beat the Battalion  
I because I think the Gen's can beat either Pete's, Dogs
or Kingston(and I know we can't meet them in the 2nd)
Barrie scares me personally they play a better game than the other 4.
