Kingston forward - Bennett out - possibly months
This has been just reported that Calgary Flames rookie from Kingston Sam Bennett will be out for months with shoulder surgery
This is also a huge blow for Team Canada as well as Kingston.
It is stated by Kingston G M - Doug Gilmour Sam played through a lot of pain last year - maybe explains his fitness issues at combine
This was just reported by MacKenzie - T S N - Sports
This is 1 of the BIG reasons I am not a fan of 18 yr olds in the BIG show 2 early as they are not fully developed

I agree! And shoulders never come back 100%. Wishing Sam the best recovery.

Re: Kingston forward - Bennett out - possibly months
That's horrible news for him, but probably better news for the Fronts, now he will most likely to be back after his injury. So great news overall for Kingston, for Oshawa this really is not ideal because it looked liked he was going to crack the NHL ala Monahan.
Looks like IF Oshawa wants to contend, they need 1 more above average forward and d-man. That's actually not too hard to find, They do have an OA spot open. Carisle has always had offensive upside since day 1, hopefully this is the year he finds it. He has a competitive edge as well its just sometimes his decision making has been questionable.
The Dundas release we all saw coming, I wish he had a bit of a chance in the regular season to show what he can bring, but I can see why they made the decision. I thought most of last year he played with a nice edge and was disciplined. I do believe he has a offensive upside if he was in the top 6-7 forwards, but in Oshawa he couldn't crack that. I am fine with that, but at the same time I thought he was a good team guy and sorry to see him leave. Hes had a good start in the Q so far.
