Congrats to Michael for being selecting for the Team Canada tryout camp beginning on Dec 11 in Toronto

Hopefully he makes it - 29 players - 17 forwards selected - 10 defencemen and 2 goalies - not sure how many the team can carry

Also the final list is due on Dec 25 - hopefully we get 1 or 2 NHL players back

Also if any one is interested I have some World Junior games available for some games in Toronto if u are interested - just send me an e mail and we can meet up

I think hes a lock for the team. Rivalry bias aside here, I don't like Ritchie on this team. The knock on Domi was always that he takes bad penalties. While it will be nice to see Ritchie crush guys not on the Gens...I see him losing his cool. I guess we'll see what the coaches think of him at camp...

I would be surprised if he did NOT make the team. Good luck DC!

I hope Michael doesn't make team Canada and I wish he never made the roster, call me selfish but I'm a Gens fan and this doesn't help the Gens and especially with Cassel being suspended till December 30th. I know there will be backlash to my post but I'm a Gen's fan before team Canada fan Very Happy

I understand exactley where you are coming from. Don't worry, the team is going to make the playoffs Very Happy .

I like to see the player develop and WJ's is the place for DC to go at this point in his career.

I have no doubt that we will make the playoffs I just want to put distance between us and the teams behind us.
as far as develop they develop better in OHL than WJ's as they don't get the same ice time @ the WJ"s as they do in the OHL.

HI Steamed.  That might be the case but the hockey is at a much higher level.   When they go up and play at that level they will find the O at least a half step slower.  Which will help in all areas of his game.   To me the focus for the Gens shouls be on preparing for the playoffs. In the games that the Gens are missing DC and Cassels is an opportunity for the rest of the team to step up. This will give Roger a real look at exactley which pieces to add as the guys fill different roles.

If both make their respective teams, who fills that last fwd spot for the Gens? Will Vande Sompel play fwd for a bit or will someone get called up?
