Terrible news for the Gens defence

Gens defenceman Will Petschenig has been lost to the team indefinitely with an injury. This comes at the most inopportune time as the Gens are already missing Dal Colle, Cassels, Hertzberg and now Will. The Gens have been looking for one more shut down D man so this makes it even more urgent for Roger to go out and bring in another shutdown D.

Hey archer everyone has to have a first post. I have followed this team for almost 50 years and this forum since its inception. Watch the games this weekend and tell me how many shifts he plays. That's how reliable I am.

So what's wrong with Will? If you are posting that you need to provide a little more information .

That's not good , didn't see anything happen in the game , perhaps hurt in practice , well it's a long season , it's a matter of attrition , injuries are going to happen , which is why depth is so important

Management needs to make that acquisition happen sooner than later , but they need to bring in a quality guy , not just another body

Will has been playing so well , hopes its not serious

Riley Stillman has been called up from the Cobourg Cougars. He'll fill some need on the backend. Seen him play 6 times this season, he's been impressive, really feel he should stick in the OHL once everyone returns from the WJC an Injuries.

The defence rebounded big time last night and Appleby stood on his head. I was starting to think after Friday nights game that maybe asking to go .500 between now and the juniors ending was to much.

Guelph is a huge test today, they have the best record in the last 10 games, that being said they seem to have a hard time scoring. I think we could have beat Guelph last night, today is gonna be difficult, 3 in 3 on the road is hard. The schedule makers didn't like us this week.

Guelph has a hard time scoring ? They've only scored less then 3 goals in a game once in the last 12 games. Have scored 5 or more in 7 of those games. To say they have trouble scoring is a little far fetched.

Guelph is also playing their 3rd in 3 nights, also missing their top two forwards, and having played in Plymouth last night they face the same sort of travel the Generals have had. All things considered this is a very even matchup.

Huge road win by a gritty bunch , missing 3 first stringers , 3rd game in 3 nights all on the road , speaks volumes to the work ethic , the great coaching and the depth on this team , outstanding

Macker I meant compared to the other top teams such as Erie, Sault, London, Barrie, Oshawa.

They are not overpowering opponents through scoring goals.

I talked to Will today and after being re-evaluated by the doctors they have told him that he will be out of action for another five weeks. He is hoping that he is a fast healer and can return much sooner but the prognosis today is another five weeks on the shelf.

Must have been a set back. Too bad hope he heals well
