It may be 2 early to look ahead - BUT
Well it appears that we most likely will meet the PETES again in the first round
The Petes are in 8 th with 2 games in hand on Missy and have 2 more games with Sudbury and are 3 points ahead of Missy
I don't expect Kingston to fall to 8 th - likely 6 th
The battle most likely will be between Belleville and the Petes - likely the Bulls will finish in 7 th
Last year the Petes upset Kingston - Should be a good series again

Re: It may be 2 early to look ahead - BUT
It was looking that way a week ago. Assuming that the battle for 7th/8th is between Belleville and Peterborough, Belleville could have a more difficult time picking up points in their final 6 games. They get us twice, Kingston, North Bay, Ottawa and Sudbury (who they just lost to 3-0). With the Petes 1 point behind the Bulls right now for 7th, it could be more probable that they overtake Belleville and push the Bulls to 8th, since half of Peterborough's final 6 games are against either Sudbury or Mississauga (Wolves twice and Steelheads once).

well this loss in Ottawa tonight , probably cost us first overall to the Soo ,hard to complain about the great season the gens have had but the boys haven't been dominate lately and the SOO has caught us and now passed us
might not look like much today , but in a 7 game series for the ohl title , that last home game is huge !!!
Darn

Fate is still in our hands. 1 point back with a game in hand. They just wanted to set the franchise record at home tomorrow night

Who cares about franchise records - if you look back in the years to come and the team failed in the playoffs
If we still believe we are the # 1 team - we need to go on a 5 and 0 run - show Missy tonight - then 2 games vs Kingston with Bennett back - we need to show them if they meet us in the next round or 2 it won't be easy - shut down their confidence meter - The Bulls if this team cannot beat the BULLS twice in 3 games to be thought of as the best GENS team ever and OHL Champs - not sure how they will ramp up for the playoffs
This team needs to win the next 5 - no problem - I hope
I believe - we need a strong finish - to carry on in the future

Online ticket sales for the Peterborough Memorial Centre probably just increased quite a bit, with Gens fans rushing to their computers as Belleville scored that empty net goal.
