Gens Trade?

It appears that Saginaw has traded overage defenseman Peter Hermenegildo to Oshawa (according to Peter's Twitter account). No word on what we gave up most likely draft picks.

"Oshawa Generals General Manager Chris DePiero announced today that the Generals have acquired the rights of defenseman Peter Hermenegildo from the Saginaw Spirit.

In return, the Generals have sent a 7th round pick in the 2013 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection."

I would expect Valentine is still Gens property. I thought they could keep the rights to 4 OA players up to January 10th.

While he is not expected back anything can happen. Remember Peter T. ending up in Kitchener.

Anyway I am glad they added another D-man. He should be a help.

Good start ! The gens organization surely know now that either we get an immediate improvement with some key additions , or time to have a fire sale for future draft picks and the rebuild gets underway .
