Does anyone know why the Sabourin tying goal was disallowed, i could not hear the announcement or it wasn't mentioned. Boys looked a little tired tonight, i don't like the 3 games in 3 nights, hope this is not the norm for the year.

looks like 2 played had injuries Lessio and Smith hope nothing serious, has anyone heard anything nothing mention on the Gens web site and how about Uvira hasn't played in a while. Hope someone on this blog can enlighten me and others.

Thanks

The goal was announce as being disallowed. They never actually told the crowd why. I'm going to PVR the game being replayed at 1am to see it. But that will be tomorrow after work.

I didn't see what happened to Smith, Lessio I assume is a broken finger and or hand, but i didn't really see what happened, I guess this only cause he threw down one glove and the stick, also looked like the plymouth guy was following through with a slashing motion with his stick.

Urbanic and Uvira are both injured, I thought i heard someone say head and hand.

Sorry I don't have answers just guess's.

I too believe Lessio suffered a hand injury on his first shift of the night. He was favouring his right hand as he skated off the ice.

As for the disallowed Sabourin goal, it seemed to me that Sabourin motioned towards the net with his knee as the puck went into the net off of his knee. It can't really be called a kicking motion, but that is my best guess why the goal was disallowed. Unfortunate, but oh well, they didn't deserve to win anyways.

Schemitsch struggled all night but the coaching staff still put him out there with only minutes left to play. There's alot to be said about the status of the Generals' defence when Schemitsch has an off night but still sees the bulk of the icetime on the back end. Just my .02. He looked awful allowing Cody Payne to strip him of the puck in the third.

Cheers everyone...

I wouldn't say the deserved to win, I wouldn't say they deserved to lose though either. I find it funny how many people are already booing this team and complaining, when tonight we were still fighting for first in the league.

I think the Gens have put forth a great effort most nights, and its much better then watching us get blown out all the time like in recent years.

Just watching the replay of the Lessio hit before signing off for bed, he got checked into the boards in front of the Plymouth bench, after that you can't see him cause the camera changes. It was a check and then he fell to the ice, it really could be anything other then a head injury after looking at what they showed.

I originally thought hand still do a little, however it could have been that shoulder or an injury to his midsection on the side he was favoring.

I'd love to hear whats up if anyone knows. If its anything serious hope he's back soon.

I saw Lessio towards the end of the game with his fingers wrapped up. So another hand injury. Hope uvira comes back soon. Is something up with Petgrave, it just seems like most of his passes are give always. He's not playing as good as we have seen him last year. Also what happened at the end of the game with Laughton, all I caught was him at the bottom of the pile.

I thought the Gens looked tired especially in the first two periods. They showed flashes in the third but could not put it all together.

I thought Appleby might have played last night. Injuries are clearly hurting the Gens at this point.

The Gens could not get going although they had their chances.

The puck was directed in by a knee????????????????????

Wow!!!

Shocked

From the replay didn't look to me like there was any kind of motion. The shot hit him and deflected in. The call on the ice was goal, I saw no evidence to overturn the goal.

I heard Lucas got 2 fingers cut by a skate blade not sure if its true.

As for petgrave, I just close my eyes when he's on the ice! If I don't I'm going to need to go blood pressure medication! He's brutal.

True , 12 stitches
Look for some moves , shore up the D and a winger to play with Laughton
Petgrave could be on the move

Maybe we will got Thomas back...... Not holding my breath. Lol. We do need a top 6 forward, and a shut down D man. Only problem is every team wants that. Could be a very interesting trade deadline this year.

A buddy of mine close to the team heard Lessios cut was really bad and could keep him out a while. Hunter Smith was also cut on the wrist but his doesnt sounds as serious.
If we do make a move for a 2nd line winger for Laughton, it wont come cheap...we'll have to give up something substantial..

Petgrave will be hard to move....unless we take an OA back in trade?

I heard Lessio is out for 12 weeks with that hand injury.
It is unfortunate that he will miss the opportunity with the world juniors if indeed he is out that long.
