Who thinks it is time for one of our 1st ROUND GOALIES to step up and perform like a NUMBER 1 goalie

The team as whole must play better in front of the goalkeepers.

Guys with the exception of the third goal Bailie let in you can't blame the keeper on those. We gave the puck away hundreds of times last night. We looked like a bunch of kids chasing their fathers around the ice in a father son game. It is time everyone on this blog took a step back and realized the following things
1. Sellwood had no idea what he was doing
2. We have no skill in the 91 category
3. We have nothing to trade
4. Dips has lost this team if he ever even had it.
If you watch the game and you say to yourself "Here comes the breakdown" That isn't the players fault. I know it looks like our guys have given up and don't care but I am sure if you asked them they will wholeheartedly disagree with you. The problem is we have 8 or 10 kids that haven't been given a game plan that they can play within so they are continuously lost and trying to catch up.
Aside from having a poor draft year or two in their the problem here is the coach. We need a new one and I am sure once Graves and Deboer get into the mix over the summer we will see that change. I wish it could be this year so we can set up some systems and get a good head start for next year but it isn't looking that way.

Graves was there for the Belleville blowout and last night so if you are correct about the coach losing the team then changes will be made.
I actually thought their intensity picked up after the time-out and they were going to get back in the game. A bad bounce and things changed again.
The Gens have a poor touch around the net so that magnifies any mistakes made by their goaltender.

You can't blame the goalie for losing 8-1. How many games will you win scoring 1 goal? We're not the best team in the league but I still enjoy going to the games. Although we haven't won anything in thirteen years, one day we will get the hardware back. It sounds like a lot of people are giving up. Some have hinted at not renewing their ticket subscription. I guess I'm just too much of a die hard. Cheer up people. Lets rally the troops and get back to the rink.

I agree with Genny. We can't blame the goalies for all the losses. There needs to be some better play defensively and they need to start scoring more if the Generals are going to win. I'll be at the games win or lose! I can take a loss, as long as the Generals are working hard and not giving up. Go Gens!

clearly bailie is the best goalie and should be #1 ......zador is very erratic and gives up way too many rebounds , he 's a good backup . thats the way i would play it if i were coaching ! zador has had ample opportunity to take the job but has not stepped up , i would run with bailie , he needs to play !

The last few games cannot be the measuring stick for the season. We have very poor defense in front of the goalies.
What has been disappointing , from my perspective, is Zador has let in some really soft goals...when the team really needs the save. It is kind of a back breaker for the team....when they have to work so hard to get the goals ,and your goalie lets a really soft one in. I have found that has happened alot when Zador is playing. Not that he has had a lot of help recently.
I have been asking all year why Ballie has not played more. Practice is great, but it is not game experience. No one can expect Ballie to be a #1 goalie getting 10 games a year. You never get into a groove. I was disappointed after the fantastic game against Windsor, he didn't get the start.
This a young man. His confidence must have been high, after playing such a solid game. You would think to yourself...hey....mabey this earned me another start...and you don't get it. I'd be asking, what do I have to do to get more playing time.
I don't think any goalie has really stole a game for us yet. But Ballie looks like he is on the verge. I say go with Ballie ...give him 5 consecutive starts. See where it goes from there.
To me it looks like they want to build up Zador.....for draft purposes...I don't know. But as a fan...right now...I want to see Ballie.

I think Zador is already drafted . Our goalies are not in the top 20 in the league. There needs to be some competion between that 2 of them for the number 1 spot , right now that is not happening
