Gens Goalies Empty Gens Goalies

Post by ogf Tue Jan 11, 2011 10:51 pm

Goalie Stats

Bailie has lost more games than Zador and Di Salvo combined

Zador W 10 L 5
Di Salvo W 6 L 3
Bailie W 6 L 9

The Gens have lost 6 games against teams that are below 500, Bailie lost 5 of them

Bailie is on a 4 game losing streak as he has lost his last 4 starts (3 against teams below 500).

Di Salvo has never lost a game in regulation since joining Oshawa, his three loses are one in OT and two in SO

Interesting. What do you think?

Zador and bailie both need consistancy if they want to improve.

It's obvious who the #1 is. I'm not convinced that Zador was better than Bailie despite that difference in record. Both were good at times and terrible at times, too inconsistent to be a #1 which shows the need to acquire a goalie like Di Salvo. Hopefully Di Salvo can mentor Bailie to be a #1 next year but we'll see.

Thank goodness we have disalvo , if he stays healthy we,ll have a good run , if bailie plays it will be a quick exit out of the playoffs , we,re going to have to trade for a quality goalie next year , sorry but bailie has had ample time to improve and he has not , he let in a soft goal against the Petes , otherwise afterwards didn't play that badly , he is just too inconsistent , can't count on him .

Speaking of Goaltending...the boys have a big weekend ahead of them. Al 3 games are against Eastern Conference opponents who are in a playoff position KGN (5th), OTT (2nd), and SBY (7th).

Di Salvo will more than likely get two of these starts...my money is on the two biggest games of the weekend. Friday and Saturday.

Baille will be OK for next year - get over it - So you where do you think we are going to get 2 goalies from next year?

Baille for his 1st game in 3 weeks - played GREAT on Sunday

Let me remind you that Baille had 7 or 8 great starts and that put Zador on a bus out of town

Support him - don't ride him when the team plays awful in front and our goalies are always facing the other teams P P

Bailie is OK for next year based on what exactly? Also putting Zador on a bus out of town isn't exactly something special.

Yeah with Daniel Altshuller waiting in the wings they are kind of loaded at the tender position. And they have been for years.. Knowing that, Teichmann shouldn't be too costly, although he is a hometown boy, so to speak.
