Interesting draft info
Our goaltending coach Ron Tugnutt has a son - Jacob playing goal for the minor Petes and is draft eligible
I wonder if he will get drafted

Re: Interesting draft info
Not by the Gens! I think we'll go with what we got and not impressed with what was imparted to our two goalies this year!

Your right in saying I think we'll go with what we have, but still could be drafted by the Gens but not in the
1st rd as they have to play with the team that drafted him,the Gen's can still draft him @ the 2nd or 3rd and so on then they could protect him for the following year or a call up if either Zador or Bailie is traded next season. My bet is that he will be drafted by the Pete's

Re: Interesting draft info
I agree with you steamed, just because the kids name is Tugnutt doesn't make him good.
Not sure that it means anything, but he is 1 of 30 goalies invited to the OHL-Hockey Canada Development Combine . Of the 30 goalies there, 16 participated in the 2010 OHL Cup Showcase Tournament. He was NOT one of them.

Re: Interesting draft info
Doesn't sound like much of a prospect to me due to his record and size. Tiny goalies are not popular these days. Doubt if you'll see him around here, even with the name! Besides, all five picks in the first three rounds will likely be forwards with maybe one defenceman thrown in as one of our three third round picks.

Re: Interesting draft info
My prediction Jaycro
5 first picks will be 4F/1 D
The Gens will sign Dips to one more year ( his contract was up this year )
Play 10/11 season
then bring in a winning coach with a 3 year deal( no one available right now hence the extra year with Dips ) to work with what should be a really talented group of players , and a bid for the memorial cup.
Goaltending will be shuffled around , however in 2 years bring in a solid OA.
My money is on Spott landing here in 11/12 . He has one year left and a great relationship with Deboer .
Without Prejudice

Re: Interesting draft info
My money is on PETER DEBOER, he has one year left on his contract, and if the panthers dont make the playoffs, im not sure if he will get a new contract.
