Only 1 Pre-season game at home
Is anyone else upset, concerned that as season ticket holders, we only get one pre-season home game this year as part of the ticket package?

No not really -
pre season games are meaningless - more for evaluating the
new kids - you never know who is playing - give me back the 2 playoff tickets in place of preseason any time - But I haven't needed them for awhile - But as of now optomism is high -- The way I see 3 jobs are on the line - 2 kids between the pipes and the coach - make or break year for these 3 - If we don't get goaltending early - look for a change

Yes, I was disappointed.
Not only are they planning a game at 11 in the morning, so people who have to work will most likely not be able to attend, and they can fill the arena up with kids who are just happy to get out of school and are not really interested in the Oshawa generals....
Now , we have to pay for our pre-season games that are not at the GMC Centre.

Re: Only 1 Pre-season game at home
Great marketing if you ask me.
With preseason games in Port Perry and Pickering the Gens just might get some added attendance at home games this year.
Sucks for seasons ticket holders that these games are not in our ticket book but you know the diehards will be there. Already got tickets and they were 10.00 each.

10 bucks aint bad, i agree with you on marketing potential, we do need better attendance. If we have a good season this year the numbers will be up

$10 is a deal.. I wil be at both games... would not miss them. Also it is kind of different seeing OHL games in smaller venues..

Re: Only 1 Pre-season game at home
Just to clarify, the Pickering game is actually a Brampton home game. I heard it's some sort of tie that Stan Butler has to community groups in the area but I didn't quite catch what. It is true though that it's good marketing for the Gens. I'm sure that's the reason for the Port Perry game although I didn't ask.

They are not pushing this in the Port Perry area at all. Ive not seen any advertising put behind this and I am local to Port Perry.

Tell me about it, I don't think Port Perry Minor Hockey is even supporting it because there's no mention of it on their association website - so where do you get tickets for this game and how much are they?
