I won't be at the game today, but wish the Gens Good Luck and hope they get a win!!! Smile
As for three games in three days, we have the depth if our coach chooses to use some different players in the lineup especially on the defense
I hope as a team we have learned from last nights' loss to Niagara.

Josh Graves is more of an offensive player than a physical one. He can't play on the fourth line. It's just not his role. He needs to be on a scoring line to be effective.

Agreed, and before anyone says it was 3 in 3, well it was for Saginaw too. The game totally fell apart when the Ref screwed up big time missing the call on Jenson, then giving the Gens the penalty, then Valentine's 5 minute slew foot. The Gens never recovered and were really never a threat after that.

The Gens are trying to be to individual and are shooting from far out. I can't believe how bad they are on the PP with the skill and talent they have. The goaltending is very suspect. We have now lost 4 of the last 5. They need to relax and get back to the basic's.

I hope Dips is checking out the cost of a goalie.

Cheers!!

was tonight's game played in Mississauga or Brampton ... it sure looked like it on TV! Although, maybe the team's plan is to draw as few fans as possible, cause then that way, they'll be awarded the Memorial Cup like the junior hockey hotbed of Mississauga was!

The powerplay was awful and needs to get better. I am curious as to whether it was a good call or not on the slewfoot, I didn't see it. It really did decide the game. Either a bad call or a dumb penalty that cost them the game. It was a close game at that point which could have gone either way. Saginaw is just too good to come from behind when you're down by two or three in the third.

Three things that definitely need action........NOW
Stop taking stupid penalties....
Work on our powerless play....
Work on our penalty kill.....
Total letdown by the team after Valentine's slew foot penalty.
They seemed totally lethargic; maybe it was the three games in three nights...not an excuse...they are young and more of these coming up.
Tonights game was about I's. Sorry to say but there is no I in team!!!!!
I guess this is one of those games and sure there will be others but hopefully not as bad as this.
Let's look forward to our next game and be prepared from the start.

Bad penalties started with Andreaoff and then Valentine. I did not see the slewfoot so cannot comment.

There was too much standing around.

We should not forget that Saginaw is an older team and have an OA goaltender who was very steady.

Not the best effort but the sky is not falling either.

Doesn't matter at this point, but I was surprised to hear slewfoot announced because the call right away from Cairns was a check to the head. The powerplay is a mystery to everyone...you'd think we would have a really effective powerplay given the talent and creativity we have. After the Spirit made it 5-2, the efforts from the Gens got more and more individual.

This was Saginaw's third set of 3 games in 3 nights already...9 of their first 11 games have been three sets of 3 in 3.

7 of 9 coming up for the Gens on the road now, including the next 3 straight. We're still a good team, but let's hope to see some improvements on special teams Friday in London.

You guys can whine and complain all you want about the officating in the league, but the fact is the Generals are the most penalized team in the league. Until the boys get some discipline, we need to get used to killing penalties.
