Glad to see a Gens win for everyone who went on the booster club trip as well. Thanks for the Saginaw radio link, gensrock...could hear a few "Go Gens Go" chants throughout the night on the radio broadcast.

Kudos to the Gens for showing a commitment to team discipline. You look at the stats before the game and you might think it could be a tough night with special teams (most penalized team going up against the best powerplay in the entire league), but the Gens sure came through. Not only did the Gens get more powerplays than Saginaw, but they also didn't take a single penalty over the final 2 periods. That's a big improvement, especially when you can completely stay out of the box when you're defending a lead.

According to the game sheet, Andreoff was on the ice for every Gens goal...Valentine and Maggio were on the ice for the last 3 Gens goals. Well done to Di Salvo for stopping 37 of 38.

Plymouth tomorrow! Wonder if Heard gets any extra special attention for fighting Thomas when the Whalers visited the GM Centre.

The Gen's played an awesome road game tonight. Going into Saginaw with the Spirit having the leagues best home record at 18 2 1 we walked away with the 4 1 win. The Gen's also played very disciplined only taking 2 minors in the game. Congrats boys, let's hope for an encore tomorrow night in Plymouth. GO GENNIES!!!

Great Job Gens. Now lets finish this road trip off strong and get back to are winning ways. We haven't played our best hockey lately, and it's great to see the boys play a full 60 minutes and come away with a huge 2 points.

It was definitely a great game in Saginaw last night.
The boys played 60 minutes of hockey and only took two penalties.
Great Gens crowd here in Saginaw and we were very vocal.
I thought it might have been a chippy game as the last time Saginaw was in Oshawa there were 9 fighting major penalties.
Very disciplined game........keep it up boys and bring that same enthusiam to Plymouth tonight.

WOW - Great character win- team discipline was outstanding - sure would be nice to finish out Jan with a win in Plymouth - tough place to play.

It seems at times when we think we are in tough - the GENS come through

and when we think it could be an easier win the work ethic isn't their and the result is shocking - BUT GREAT JOB

Thanks ohagan for the link...great goals! Is Clark becoming a secret weapon for the shootout? A goal on a penalty shot in Barrie, a goal on a breakaway last night...that Lessio goal was sure something, what a move on the defender, reaches back around the defender as he's falling to the ice and tucks it in one handed. Nice effort Lucas!

Great win for our team last night. And I have to say it to all the nay sayers....Clark got the winning goal!!!! You go Emmerson!!!! Keep playing like that ...and stop taking silly penalties....and you'll change more minds.

I was so happy to hear our team play so well. No sloppy first, where we have to try and come back in the third. Nice to see a consistent effort , from the the goalie out. It sounded like everyone bought into the game and got it done. This team still impresses me. Way to go boys!!!
