Gens Trade Announced today

I would elaborate but that's the only info I have. As previously mentioned...what is stated on HockeyProspects twitter

So now that means that two OA's need to be moved.

no.... 1991 means he could play in the 2011-2012 season too. this years it's the 1990's that are OA's

Here we go from the Storm,s webpage :

"The Storm has announced that they have acquired four draft picks from the Oshawa Generals in exchange for defenceman Daniel Maggio. In the trade the Storm will receive a 3rd and 4th round pick in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection, as well as a 4th in 2013 and a 7th in 2014.

Acquired in the off-season, Maggio was shelved for much of the season due to injuries. In 12 games with the Storm, the LaSalle native recorded 5 assists."

I suspect Dips will get only picks in return for one of our OA , I am not sure this move will improve our hockey club

This is an interesting trade got size and experiance but I'm sure there is something else happing down the road,just a guess know that we aquired a D. Tony Dehart is the one more likely to go. I hate to see any of our OA's go but someone has to and I think DeHart the one.as far as giving 4 draft picks up,i don't think that will hurt us as we are fairly a young team and Dips is setting us up for next season which Daniel Maggio is one of the Gen's OA.not written in stone as he is drafted by NYR and we have someone on the inside(Graves)

He's out until the new year. I don't like trades involving injured players. You won't know until he hits the ice if he's worth what we paid or not.

The Storm have posted on their website that the 7th round pick is in 2014, but Sunaya has updated her twitter page to say "The Oshawa Generals say "for sure" the 7th round pick in the Maggio deal is in 2015."

That's alot of draft picks to give up for an injured player in his last year. I understand there is a chance he can come back as an OA, but nothing is for sure.
