Re: Playoff Drive
Interesting fact, if the gens can get four points in there last three games they will eclipse there point total reached the last time they made the playoffs.

1990-1991 was the last time the gens were able to get more then 89 points in a year thus hitting 90.

Re: Playoff Drive
3 regular season games to go!
We know that Mississauga will be the 1st seed and Niagara will be the 3rd seed.
3 wins for the Gens that includes a regulation win Friday night in Ottawa would give the Gens the division title.
The Gens could still win the division by winning in OT or a shootout on Friday. Giving the 67's a point on Friday still keeps the Gens mathematically alive for the division title, but it just makes things a bit tougher. If the Gens won in OT or a shootout on Friday, they would have to get points on Saturday, and depending on how many points they got, they would either need Sudbury to take 1 point or both points from Ottawa on Sunday afternoon. That could set the stage for a Gens win Sunday night, giving them the East division and 2nd seed.
The only scenario that would give the 67's the division on Friday night would be if Ottawa got 2 points in any way (regulation, OT or shootout).
Don't have to look too far for motivation for Friday night's game! Go Gens!

Re: Playoff Drive
If Ottawa gets 3 points in their last two games they win the division. That would give Ottawa 92 points. The Gens winning all three games can get only 92 points and a tie goes to Ottawa. The Gens need to beat Ottawa in regulation or hope that Sudbury beats Ottawa.
