Re: Thanks for the Memories - Season 2010/2011
While it's never a good time to lose, it would have been better if they either got swept or lost in 6 so that there can be a proper salute from the fans. I always love that transition from melancholy in the 3rd period from a losing effort to cheering to salute a good season after the game is over.
I'm also really looking forward to next year. I think Lessio will be the player to watch. It takes some time to get acquainted with the OHL style of play, he will be much better next year. If De Haan doesn't return, I'm thinking that Boone Jenner is an obvious choice for captain. Goaltending is a question mark unless Bailie improves dramatically between now and next season. How will Thomas build on a 50+ goal season?
I'll also add that I thoroughly enjoyed using the discussion forum and would like to thank the moderators. Sometimes I don't get to see all the key moments because I'm cueing a song and take my eyes off the ice for a few moments and this is a great place to get a better perspective on what I missed.

I'd prefer a better 'playoff' memory than a 'regular' season experience. We're not ALL Leaf fans! Round 2 was a non event. Great coaches have teams prepared to compete and succeed at the most important time of the year. Ultimately it is about winning in the end. With any luck Pete D takes over the reigns and takes this organization to the next level.

Thank you Gennies!!! I hope some of the boys read these comments and know, just how much we appreciate them and the effort this year.
All the best to our overagers that are moving on. You will be missed here, but we want you to have the best future you can. Good luck and hope your future endeavours are successful.

Re: Thanks for the Memories - Season 2010/2011
With the loss and the end of the season, last night ended my run as an Oshawa Generals season ticket holder. Now I am not leaving because of the price of parking or tickets or anything like that. As of next week, I am moving east. Fortunately to a town that has a major junior team. Looks like I'll be taking in a bunch of Moncton Wildcat games next season.
So I just want to thank every single player who has played in this organization since my first season as a STH (99/00), any fan I have had the opportunity to talk to. Gens fans, or visiting fans.
I especially want to thank Karon (UGens) for organizing all those bus trips and allowing me to be involved. Though I didn't get to go on as many as I would have liked.
Thank you for all the memories. Give 'em hell next season boys. Go Gens Go!

Re: Thanks for the Memories - Season 2010/2011
I said my goodbye's to the lads at the bus last Friday and have spoke to a few since. They know how I feel about them and wish them good luck, those not returning and to those who are, I asked that they have a great summer and to come back strong and ready to kick butt in Sept.
Kevy I have know you since you were a teen and I wish you well in Moncton and they have a good organization there as well. Good luck there and enjoy a bit of hockey as well!!
