The 2010-2011 Oshawa Generals season has come to an end and while we wish it was longer there is a lot to be proud of.

This season was filled with a lot more highs than lows and a renewed optimism going forward.

We had the ability to watch a group of young talented players grow together, accomplish special feats and gain valuable experience that will be important heading into next season.

We watched our veteran players put together career years and while it is always tough to say goodbye to our graduating players, the legacy’s they have left behind will not soon be forgotten. We also look forward to watching their progress as they move on in their hockey careers and in life, they are indeed a very special group.

The entire Generals organization would like to thank all of our community partners, families, billets, volunteers and especially our great fans for their continued support because without you none of this would be possible.

We hope that you will be able to join us at our year end Awards Ceremony which will take place in the very near future and details will be announced in the coming days. This will also be a chance for our fans to join us as we say goodbye to our graduating players.

The summer months will be filled with excitement as the focus now shifts to the OHL Priority Selection which is three weeks away. The NHL Draft in June will be a big day for a number of Generals players as they continue the next step in their hockey careers. Be ready for many special announcements leading up to next season as we prepare to celebrate the Oshawa Generals 75th Anniversary Season.

For now, it is a time to step back, enjoy the summer months and get your rest in now because come September, we plan on making next season a long one.

Please join us one last time, this Thursday, April 21st for our annual Awards Night. We will celebrate the success of the 2010-2011 season and congratulate our players on a very productive and entertaining season and post-season run.
