Okay, thanks. Actually last three years, I think! Was a prolific scorer for the Gens in the 80's and had a very successful NHL career. Might be a good candidate if he is really being considered. What's the hold up?

Did he not just sign a contract extension with the Marlies?

Eakins signed a 3 year deal to continue coaching the marlies...cant find anything on king re-signing

Yes the assistant coaches Gord Dineen, and Derek King also signed extensions the same time as Dallas Eakins.So that makes things interestiong!!!

Yeah you clicked on the link but do you have an twitter account if so go on it and try to find it I tried again and I don't see it,like I said it was posted and then later it was gone.

Dave McQueen he has a coaching gig in Austria & Jim Hulton here is the quote in the Whig newspaper: He is currently unemployed and his Monday didn’t start well. The Oshawa Generals phoned and told him he wasn’t going to be the team’s next coach. So Derek King is up next is he or isn't he,I'm sure we will find out Monday as Jeff Twowey becomes focused on the Generals as his NHL gig is up come Saturday so expect more news on the Gen's front ie:draft pick signings,euro draft or trades.

Not losing any sleep over not having McQueen or Hulton here next year; a couple of re-treads.

He might of read the oshawa this week paper yesterday as Towhey didn't know anything about it as Derek King never even applyed.but said that he has 1 more interview to do and should have a coach in place by the end of June.

He didn't say that King never applied. He did say that he'd never heard of him... kind of tongue in cheek if you ask me. That being said, I think the Derek King rumours are just that and that a decision has not been made yet.
