Jenner and Laughton

A little hindsight... to cover either of the above eventualities, we should hve gone after Strome (just returned from the Islanders) , Trocheck or Quine. We have a big hole on the 2nd line!

And yes i totally agree that we should have picked up another top end forward!!!

Really easy to say we should have went after Strome now that he was sent back. And who would you have traded to get him? MDC?? No way. He was a question mark coming back in the first place plus the asking price would have been huge. This is a useless statement in my opinion.
I still think Laughton gets sent back.

And @ what cost? Tell me what would you give for a top end forward? my guess it would be way too much.

Aidan Wallace is not a 2nd line/top end forward. More than likely a 4th liner.

Well I guess that means we should have traded for Strome, Quine, Trochek oh and throw in Hamilton and Ceci

Now we are just getting silly (and sarcastic). Quine would have sufficed and the Bulls majorly overpaid for him. Everybody agrees on that- even Petes fans!

Right. So they overpaid. Does that make you want Twohey to over pay even more to get him?? I am confused. It takes 2 to trade I say let Belleville over pay. Maybe Quine is not DJ's type of player. I like the teaks Twohey made and I will watch to see how this team responds and if we get a healthy Lessio back and insert Laughton back in anything can happen.

No argument there nerfherder. Lessio is one of the pure goal scorers this team has. I was going on the premise that we won't get Laughton back. If we do, we're set to go. Question? When did Wallace join the team? I am not on 'twitter' so I am not up on these things. Source?

Wallace will join the team for tonights game as per Twohey on Twitter today.

Sorry steamed, I'm way too old to relate to emoticons. There are hundreds and I don't comprendo what most of them mean or are intended to convey. Thanks for the info on Wallace.

For strome i would have traded this......uvira,Chris Carlisle,2 2nd rd draft pics to get strome.

I also have to laugh at all the 'know people' out there that said Jenner would definately not be back and no way Laughton makes it...Laughton is far from ready. LMAO.

When healthy, this team WILL compete with the best in the OHL. Be proud of what we have and support the guys. They don't need to read now that the trade deadline is over that you would trade them.

Sounded more like Wednesday from what the tv people said. But today is thursday so I counted it as this week

Lessio is back next week probably against Belleville on weds night not this weekend .

Great article on Scott Laughton. Looks like he will be with Philly for awhile??????

The sooner Lessio returns, the better. It has been obvious that when he, Jenner and Laughton are not playing that there are few ,if any, goal scorers on this team. Even Biggs seems lost without Jenner. They continually work hard, usually outshooting teams but are hard pressed to sore more than 2 goals per game. Laughton's return, if it happens, will allow them to get back to their normal lines. Now, to eliminate those nasty "checking from behind" penalties that the team takes so many of!

Which one, Wallace's or Petgrave's? Why isn't Wallace on the roster? I know the Gens are slow in this area...signing players, announcing trades etc. but he's played a game already!
