Just an fyi... The Gens don't control roster updates, even on their own site. The league does.

steamed, I would have known what? I knew he was joining them days ago. What I was questioning was the fact that he wasn't and still isn't listed on the OHL or Gennies sites. And Tipco, I realize the OHL control;s the Gennies roster site but after trading for Wallace, they didn't bring him in immediately and I thought before he played there might be a 'blurb' about him signing.

Back on topic here. Below please find an article on Laughton posted this morning. I really believe Scott will be in Philly until Briere is healthy and then he'll be returned.

Here's another one...

Good for him. I think we all knew he'd get at least 5 games with the injury to Briere. Agreed... selfishly I hope he comes back as well but good luck to him.

its all going to work out guys , we are getting Lessio back , it will take him time to round into form , jenner is the key , huge bonus for us , and laughton is staying with the flyers for a few games due to injuires , he will be back , he is certainly not ready to stick , all the hype coming from the flyers is just selling tickets , like the leafs sold us kadri ........not ready for prime time , he will be back and we will have our full lineup for the first time in a very long time , and with the new additions , barring injury of suspensions to key guys , we will be making a run for the ohl , i really believe that ..

another week or so , we'll have a full house !

great experience for Laughton , but you can hurt a guy by rushing him , its happened many times before , i think teams are more careful now .

good luck to the gens !!!

Anyone watch the FLYERS VS. PENGUINS and SCOTT LAUGHTONS NHL DEBUT yesterday???

I thought he looked good out there, played hard, did'nt back down from anyone in the corners, made some big hits and got some scoring chances. He did not look out of place at all.

I was really excited to watch it and was proud of him, good for him and wish him nothing but the best.

He is playing again on sunday at (pre-game 12:30) and game is at 1pm on NBC.....FLYERS VS. SABRES.....LAUGHTON GAME 2. For anyone who wants to see him play!!!

Jenner sure did come back with some fire getting 4 points last night vs the fronts,i thought he may just pot the trick in the 1st period...It was nice to see and hopefully they can do it again sunday night!!!!

GO GENS GO!!!!

I was very glad to see Jenner come back rdy to play. Some players heads don't always come back with them when they return from the NHL.

As for Laughton, he didn't look out of place, however I believe the roster spot left open once the Flyers are healthy is 4th line centre. He got very little ice time already and that was on 3rd line. I don't think he played well enough to burn a year off his contract. Laughton is playing at the top of his game right now, many NHL ers have been sitting and will take another month to get into game shape.

My feeling is he will rot on the bench if they keep him, send him back, but hey I am very biased lol.

Ps anyone with rogers digital cable can catch all 5 of Laughtons games, assuming he plays 5 straight without sitting. NHL Centre ice is on free preview. Not sure how it works but a few OHL games (in HD) are shown on these channels as well. Maybe they block them I'm not sure.

After watching the first two periods of todays game, I just wanted to say that I think Laughton is getting more ice time and playing even better today.

Working hard to stick with the team for sure.

Pierre Mcguire and NBC did a short little thing on him in the 3rd period and showed hilights of his game today and PM predicted he would be there alot longer then the 6 games....Even in the 2nd the announcer called laughton mr.everything in todays game.

He played alot better, got more ice time, more shots and hits and even got brought up to the 1st line during the 3rd for a shift.Hes improving by every shift and game and gaining more n more cofidence every time i watched him.I am very happy for him...cant wait to see him pop his first NHL goal......

GO LAUGHTON GO.....GO CHASE YOUR DREAM!!!! Very Happy

I think Laughton will be back ice time is getting shorter and shorter.. game 1 12:14 Game 2 10:12 and last night only 9minutes.. He's played well, but he's not getting any PP time or PK time, better off coming back in my mind. Time will tell!

I think, now, Laughton will be returned after the 5 game limit. Chris Therrien, a Flyers broadcaster said on Hockey Central today that he thinks Laughton is getting by on 'rookie energy' that will wear off when it becomes a job and he is a skinny 180. He should go back to Oshawa, put some more weight on and get a bit more experience under his belt ( paraphrased!). Also depends if they continue losing and start looking to make deals. We'll see by Monday!

Like I've already stated , Laughton will be back this year , he is not ready , in fact it wouldn't be wise or fair for him to stay in the NHL this year , this little stint will be a good sniff for him , motivate him for next year .

Needs to bulk up and learn to play 60 mins of hockey , still young !

Hopefully hartnells injury isnt too severe and he wont be out long, would that have any impact on weather they send laughton back to junior.
