Welcome to the Team
Mitchell Vande Sompel
Sam Harding
Daniel Robertson
Congrats for being drafted, can't wait to see what all of today's draft picks can do at camp.
I'd list everyone but the drafts not over and I'm on my way to the final Lax game of the season.
But congrats to everyone else we draft as well.

Re: Welcome to the Team
interesting the Gen's selected In the 8th round, with the 154th overall pick in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection presented by State Farm, the Oshawa Generals are pleased to announce that the team has selected goaltender Jeremy Brodeur.
Jeremy played the 2012-2013 season with the Shattuck St. Mary’s Midget AAA team and put up an impressive 1.66 goals against average. A native of Essex Falls, New Jersey, Jeremy is the son of New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur.
hope he is half the goaltender his old man is

Re: Welcome to the Team
I am sure this pick is just a flyer
Why would he come up here
However with DeBoer as coach in Jersey
Maybe it's a favour or a hunch that may workout
Hopefully it does workout

Re: Welcome to the Team
Tiny (short) and listed as 115 lbs. A strong wind would blow him away.

Re: Welcome to the Team
Since when is 6' tall considered short for a goalie? And he weighs 155 lbs which is a growing weight. Always a critic and we haven't even seen the kid in training camp, if this kid who has the best goalie coach in the world measures up then anything is possible and could rock the boat with goalie starts.

Re: Welcome to the Team
Yeah i saw he was 6'1 and 165lbs. I don't think he's a flyer. Twitted how he was honored to be drafted here (Feel honored to be drafted by @Oshawa_Generals !!).
I personally hope they sign him and bring him in next season. Would be great to see him play a year under the mentorship of Dan. Even if hes 1/8 of his father, Id be happy with that! (I'm a little bias...love Marty).
Hopefully he will be at the rookie camp and we can all get a good look at him.

Re: Welcome to the Team
Don't know where you saw Brodeur at 6'1 and 165 lbs. I see the Gen's site has him at 6'0 and 155. The OHL draft site player list has him at 5'8 and 150 which is still okay but when you check the 8th round results on the draft site, he is listed at 5'7 and 115! Must have been a typo! Those are the numbers I noticed when I saw him and said he was "tiny". I wasn't really believing that 115 but as goalies go, you never know? We all know those draft numbers are usually inflated or their height includes their height in skates. I too am looking forward to seeing him at camp (if he's not 115 lbs.)!

Re: Welcome to the Team
Okay, thanks for clarifying, 5forfighting. So even the Gennies site is wrong. Not only did they not exaggerate his size, they actually 'downsized' him a bit....strange!
