PETES @ GENS JAN 24TH/ 2014.....7PM START ON SPORTSNET
Petes vs. Gens - THE RIVALRY CONTINUES!!!
Live friday night CHL GAME OF THE WEEK on sportsnet 7pm
GENNIES winners of 4 straight, 6-3-0-1 in past 10, 7 point lead in eastern conf, and 18 point lead on the petes in the east division.
PETES - Winners of 5 straight, 7-3-0-0 in past 10, just coming off a huge 7-4 romping of the sudbury wolves even after being outshot 41-26 and seem to have found thier stride and are playing hot right now. N. Ritchie,H. Garlent are both playing great hockey as well for the petes.
This game will be a BEAUTY to watch as both teams are playing some great hockey, with it being live on sportsnet tomorrow night, its sure to pump up both teams and will be a fantastic game....Heres hoping another sellout loud and home crowd can pump our guys up even more.

Petes are on a roll and had a big win last night. Can't wait for the Gens to a big stop to that!
Go Gens Go. Can't wait for the puck drop.

The Petes 1st line of Nick Ritchie - Hunter Garlent & Eric Cornel has been lights out since its been put together, an the 3 of them also team up to make their power play pretty lethal. The 2nd line is no slouch either with Clarke Tanus and MacDonald.
The Petes remind me alot of the Generals now that they have a solid complete 1st line. Although the lack a player of Laughtons overall ability they have two top lines that match up very similar to the Generals top 2 lines. They also have a bottom 6 filled with energy guys with one or two guys mixed in that can find the back of the net with some regularity.. like the Generals. The back end even is eerily similar, they have their shut down pair of Armstrong and Seymour, we have Brown and Lepkowski, they have Boland- Spencer we have Suellentrop - Vande Sompel (vet with 1st round pick), they have Devlin and Varga we have Petschenig & Carlisle ( a 95 & a 94). Then rookies as the 7th d. Where the Generals distinct advantage is in goal where Altshuller is far better then D'Agostini. But with that being said D'Agostini is known for his hot streaks.
I really feel if the Petes had made this deal earlier they'd be right up there with the Generals, Wolves, Fronts & Colts. I anticipate the Petes catching North Bay and slipping into the 5 seed. An catching the 4th seed Colts would not be out of the question, nor would 3rd place Kingston. This is a team I'd like to miss in the 1st round, that's for sure.

It was interesting to see the different line combinations used last night. Seemed to provide a balanced attack and also a good match up against their top line.
