Oshawa Generals Town Hall Meeting Coming Up!

Good opportunity to hear from the owner and management. Just have to learn to read between the lines on the politically correct responses.
The notice was sent out to season's tickets holders this afternoon. If somebody needs an invite let me know. The meeting is this coming Tuesday.

I'm wondering what the town hall meeting is about?
- Meet and greet New Staff?
- Team is sold? (again)
this is something new prior to the season, I don't  ever remember this ever happing prior to a season.
I don't no any inside info but something tells me it's big so I'm leaning to Team is sold (or being sold), why would they call a town hall meeting just to meet and greet new staff? I guess we will find out Tuesday 

Can someone please ask if they will ever get a new TV for that scoreboard!! I'm away on holidays on Tuesday and would ask if I was around! Not sure if Rocco or Jeremy (GMC event manager) could answer it! I think it's a good idea to have one before the season starts!

A very good town hall meeting tonight, the scoreboard ? was asked and answered, Both Rocco & Stauth  said they been trying to get the city to buy a new one as their the owners of GMC, Rocco did make some improvements on the scoreboard but that's the best they can do.Duncan & Rocco said that it would be up to the fans to get a petition going and presenting it to council and would be the perfect time as elections are coming up, they will help set something up. there were a couple hands up to be involved so I'm sure there will be a petition going around soon. On to hockey ? Kelly Summers & Chase Person are not going to be @ camp Kelly going to school & Chase is playing USHL but are still in the Gen's future, Kenny will be the #1 goalie it will be his to lose. Jason mention he should have the camp rosters up tonight.
Don't want the summer to be over but I'm glad the Gen's hockey is back

I totally agree with steamed. It was a very honest and open meeting. Lots of laughs some good questions asked with just a touch of moaning about the facilities.

To add to the points above:
Rocco is a committed owner for the long term. Not looking to sell.
9 free agents invited to camp this year. Slim chance for one of them to make the roster. DJ is looking for (without naming them directly) for McDade and Manchurak to step and not allow for a FA to step up and take their spots.
They are high on Riley Stillman. Apparently the scouts something good here and they are happy he is in the system.
They are expecting Brown, Dal Colle, cassels and Smith to return.

On questions asked after the meeting.
Vande Sompel has an upper body injury suffered at the Hlinka tournament this summer. will be out a few more weeks.
Eric Wellwood is soft spoken. He will relate well with the team. This is a great add for the Generals.

Jason did say he would put it on yesterday after the towmhall, I do have it as it was posted on twitter

I don't really tweet either, But I do like to follow the Gen's players and reporters that follow the OHL, a lot of times it's faster info than the Noof or any other site, it's easy to set up I just do it thru the computer not phone.
