It is a long season however the month of November has not been the best. We have scored 11 Goals and have allowed 14 in the past five games.

Surprises .. Jeff Brown is actually playing ok and contributing. I never thought I woudl say or post that!

Some other players have gone real cold... Jenner / Andreoff / Thomas and Lessio come to mind as the ones wh oneed to ger going.

Goal scorers are streaky - and I think the players are being instructed to

play a more defensive game - thus goals are down

Whatever, you should not lose at home to the likes of Belleville , sorry , but I would have had a nice little skate after the game for about an hour , then an hour long video review of the game , before they got to go out Friday night and party , because , that's what it looked like they had on their mind.

I agree brown has been playing well , bonus , I don't know why but jenner looks like he 's struggling, his production numbers certainly are not what I expected, sophomore jinx?
Hope not , we need him to produce

You are right - maybe we should have won - but - I am sure with this young group they thought it would be easy and seemed to gp through the motions

These are lessens learned - However Subban did play well in net and have you ever seen a game where the puck bounced all the time

Gens are 5-2-2-1 in last 10. Only St. Mikes and Kingston have been better in the East.

This is still a young team learning to compete. I prefer the "glass is half full" approach. Have they been perfect, no. On paper should they have won last night? yes. BUT lets not forget 4 of our keys guys were playing their third in 3 nights with road games in Belleville and then London.

I like the improvement i've seen and look forward to continued improvement as the season progresses.

I fully agree with your whole post. But your post reminds me of something i've always had a problem with when it comes to the team standings. You state correctly that the Gens are 5-2-2-1 in the past 10 games. Really that is a 5 wins and 5 losses record with the extra 1 pts. I have always thought that if you lose in the OT or the SH why does that loss have to be put in a special column. OT wins are not in a special column, so why are the lossesThe league should make a column for gaining a point for a regulation tie. If you lose in OT or SO then you have lost and it should go in your loss column, not off to the side in a special column. 5-2-2-1 looks better than 5-5 but only by 3 pts

It's true that an OT loss is truly a loss in the old days but that isn't the case for a shootout loss. A shootout loss would be a point in the pre-shootout era. 65 minutes used to earn you a tie.

My point is/was that only 2 teams in a 10 team conference have been better in the past 10 games. Its not like the Gens have gone backwards.

What were the expectations for this team in August? Make the playoffs and be a top 4 seed?? I don't think anything more than that was really expected. That's where we are now
