Hope to see lots of red white and blue at the k rock tomorrow. Safe travels to all. Should be a great game time to see what both teams are made of. Do we scontinue rotating players or keep the line up the same. Go gens go!

Re: game 2 @ kingston
Perry starts the 3rd for Kingston for the 2nd straight playoff game.
2 quick goals to start the 3rd for the Gens makes it 9-1.
Here are the Gens goals/assists:
Thomas (Lessio, DeHart)
Berger (Thomas)
Jensen (Andreoff, Maggio)
Lessio (Andreoff, de Haan)
Andreoff (unassisted)
Lessio (Laughton) PP
Berger (Jenner, Thomas)
Thomas (unassisted) PP
Labardo (Sabourin, Hope)
All within the first 4 and a half minutes of the 3rd, Kingston has taken an unsportsmanlike and a high sticking call at the same time that gave the Gens a 2 man advantage. Now a too many men on the ice call for the Fronts and Erik Gudbranson takes an elbowing call plus a 10 minute misconduct...well done to the Gens to not get a single call in all of this!

Re: game 2 @ kingston
They should bring in a mercy rule, this could get ugly. Perhaps pulling Di Salvo for some rest should be considered.

Re: game 2 @ kingston
Gens have had a 2 man advantage for most of the 3rd period. After all the Kingston penalties in the first 4 and a half minutes of the 3rd, Davidson runs Di Salvo and gets 5 minutes for charging...on the 5 minute major, the Fronts take a slashing penalty and a 4 minute spearing penalty.
Gens PP goal...Payne (McDowell, DeHart) makes it 10-1.

Re: game 2 @ kingston
Gens have only given the Fronts 4 powerplays in 2 playoff games. Fantastic!
Thomas, Andreoff, Berger, Lessio, Jenner and Jensen have 28 points between them in the first 2 games of the series. Wow.
Looking forward to Sunday...chance to go up 3-0!

Re: game 2 @ kingston
I hope the league suspends gudbranson and dougie, disgusting display. The gens rolled there third and fourth lines in the 3 rd and were rewarded by kingston with running the goalie and spearing. Ps gudbranson tried to get at some gens fans after the game. No excuses league needs to look into this game.

Re: game 2 @ kingston
I was at this game sitting with the bus crew and it made me sick to witness the classless acts that kingston was doing in this game, some pretty major suspensions should come outta this game.I think Davidson, gudbranson, doherty and dougie all need to be suspended for the series.Especailly gilmour because if this is how he is gonna run his team then he should pay big time,i hope the league looks hard into this game.
I cant say how proud i am of the gens for not getting sucked into any of it and just playing hockey, good job gens.Lets keep it rolling for game 3.
GO GENS GO!!!

Listening to the radio broadcast (Kingstons of course) they said that the refs had let it "get away." I'd like to hear some comments on the reffing. By the way the Fronts were taking penalties, and the nature of the penalties it sounds like the refs did a reasonably good job not allowing this to deteriorate into a complete horror show............also, hats off to the boys for keeping their mind on the game!

Re: game 2 @ kingston
I know this will not go over well with our board, but I did feel bad for the Kingston fans. They just had to sit there and watch their team fall apart. When they just really wanted to cheer them on to victory.
Our coaching staff did everything they could to not run up the score. They gave the 3rd and 4th lines a lot more ice time than they have seen all season. He did a really good job and reeling the boys back to bench ,when the Fronts were getting frustrated. But no one, likes to be embarassed like that on home ice. The Gens better not come into Sunday's game , thinking Kingston is rolling over. They have something to prove now...being so embarrssed.
I felt bad for the Goalies too. I was happy to see our fans, applaud Perry, for the hardest working Kingston player. No support offensively and no support defensively and he only let 1 goal in.
I was very impressed as well , how disciplined we were again. We are prone to being suckered in. Way to keep our head in the game. Sometimes emotions can run high.
I wouldn't be surprised if Grubranson and Doherty are suspended. Werek is back Sunday too. That could something Kingston uses to inspire themselves. Lets keep our foot on the gas, and don't look back.

Re: game 2 @ kingston
Too Funny on the Kingston Web site they do not mention the score.
Christian Thomas had four points, including a pair of goals to lead the Oshawa Generals to victory in Game Two of the Eastern Conference Quarter-Final Series with the Kingston Frontenacs. The Generals currently lead the series 2-0, with Game Three back in Oshawa on Sunday evening. Its been a tough two games for the Fronts, but a win in Oshawa on Sunday night can quickly change the outlook of the series heading back home for Game Four on Tuesday night.
Besides Thomas's four point effort, the Generals got three point nights from Lucas Lessio and Andy Andreoff and multi point nights from Alain Berger and Tony DeHart. Ryan Spooner had the loan goal for Kingston, but it was all down hill from then on out.
As mentioned Game Three is Sunday evening in Oshawa, with Game Four back in Kingston on Tuesday night at 7:00PM from the K-Rock Centre.

Re: game 2 @ kingston
Dunno what game u were at but the kingston fans around me thought both the running of the goalie and the spearing of our player was a good idea and were applauding the plays.

Re: game 2 @ kingston
Interesting to read what some of the Fronts tweeted after the game 1 loss...most of it was the "not the start we wanted", "have to play better", "tomorrow is a new day", "time for a fresh start" kind of stuff...not finding any tweets on last night's game, guess the end of game 1 cliches still apply.

Re: game 2 @ kingston
I thought Eric Gundbranson should have been the hardest working Frontenac last night. He worked so hard at maintaining his image of being a real fool. Great win by the Gen's last night. Keep it going boys GO GENNIES!!!
