Hunter Smith trade

The Oshawa Generals announced today the acquisition of right winger Hunter Smith from the Windsor Spitfires. The Generals also receive a conditional 4th round pick in 2014 and a 6th round pick in 2015 in the deal. In exchange, the Generals have traded left winger Emerson Clark and a 3rd round pick in 2014

And to let Gen's fan know if they don't already Hunter Smith is the newphew of ex NHLer Brad Smith.

I think this was a great trade that Twohey made WOW

The Windsor site says the 4th is Ottawa's and Rychel did not say it was conditional!

Furthermore, don't expect too much from Smith. Other than being 6'7" or so,he only played 19 OHL games last year, scoring one goal. People are excited about him because he was a 2nd rounder and Windsor hypes their young kids and draftees. He was taken as a project and still is a project.

The 4th rd pick we received was from the Jeff Brown trade last year

I wished that some of the talented Gens could work as hard as you did

yes how about 3 cheers for Emerson and best of luck to him , he gave his all , protected his fellow teammates , provided a lot of entertainment for the fans , will be missed for sure , i'm sure part of the reason for the trade is due to Branches new 10 fight rule !!!! I'm so sick of Branch softening/changing the game at his will like the czar he thinks he is , this may be my last season depending how this new rule plays out , i'm not going to pay thses kinds of dollars to watch US college hockey , which is where Branch is taking this !!!
