Gens vs. Storm
This one will be a REAL test for the boys....Guelph is very good team. I am eager to see how we stack up against them. I think this one will need to a low scoring defensive effort and Altshuller needs to be our best player tonite...fingers crossed!

Positive Learning Curve
The anticipation to see our GENS play against Guelph, showed that with some discipline and such, that we are not out of reach of competing. Appleby after the first two goals however seemed out of sorts, and his floundering in front of the net cried desperation than skill. Hunter Smith continues to show he has come this season to play and interviewed well. A fan of the GENS for over 30 years, this team I truly believe has the ability to compete most games; the rest is up to the boys. Are we going to go all the way, NO I don't think so, but we are going to have fun watching them play and grow as individuals, and as a team.

Re: Gens vs. Storm
I think the biggest thing about the game last night was the Generals inexperience with a strong fore-check. Their were times the the Storm were all over us and we couldn't get the puck out of our zone. Also noticed the speed of the Storm forwards, and caught our defense off guard a bit. I think this is all part of the learning curve for this team. Once our guys gain some experience with the better teams, I think they will be much more prepared for it.

Gens vs Guelph
It appeared that we were very overmatched - Appleby was great for the first 40 minutes - defence was not in the right position most of the night
Boy Guelph was fast and strong and it appeared at times were playing just well enough to win and were just waiting to capitalize on our mistakes
As far as the season goes - let's talk after 10 games - Kitchener next - a strong Petes team - the Bulls - back to back with Barrie and Guelph here
then after the 10 games we start our next 10 with London
The East it appears will have Barrie then improved Kingston and the Petes - North Bay at # 4 - We should or could end up in the 6-9 hole depending
on Laughton's return - who our 3rd overager is ??? and the trade s ????
