Roster Taking Shape - Page 2 Empty Re: Roster Taking Shape

Further to the Anton Zupancic birthdate... on several sites he is shown as a 91/11/11 or 91/11/24/ That would indicate he is a "91, just not sure of his actual birthdate but it would appear the Gens training camp roster had it right. Not an encouraging factor to add a 19 year old when rebuilding.

Correct Zupancic is a 91.. drafted by Sarnia and played in the Jr. B League for the Sarnia Jr. B team.

Anton Zupancic was drafted by Kitchener Rangers and was traded last season to Sarnia, you maybe confused as Anton's brother was drafted by Sarnia this year.I know this as I know the family.Anton is on loan from Sarnia if he makes the team there will be a trde then and it will be only for a late rd draft pick.

There is a very nasty fight between him and Adam Wallace of Windsor in a pre-season game last fall on a U-tube video if you search his name Maybe he will be the "heavyweight" people are clamoring for?

ya i know my bad, i totally read something else and then posted something else, thought i read the roster was cut to 30 (and todays roster had only 30 names)

so i was pointing out that there are still 31 players in camp

and that Quinns name was missing from todays roster.

Quinn was an addition to the already printed roster in Port Perry.
Again he was wearing number 26.

Nothing more than curiousity, but why is Scott Laughton not on the updated team list/roster on the Gens site or on the alpha list on the OHL site? An oversite cough, cough?

I heard that Nick Esposto has landed in Kingston with the Tier II Voyegeurs. I checked their website and see him listed on their roster. I wanted to wish him all the best. I know he fell victim to the numbers game with all the young talented forwards we have this year, but he was an honest hard working kid IMO. I still recall him being carried off on the stretcher after a nasty hit at a Petes game last year.

B.Hughes & J.Brown have been sent to the Whitby Fury.J.Brown was the 4th 16yr old on the team,I'm glad that they sent him to Whitby as I can see him play more often there than his home town team,I'm sure we will see him play some games(10) this season with the Gen's.
Now if the rumours are true that Padulo & Alcock have been let go,the team is set.

The newest Durham Region News article doesn't mention that either were cut, I found this a surprise as they normally post player movement in the little column off to the side.

Strange.

So we're for sure down to 28 players possibly 26, and with 3 away at camp. I guess if rumors prove true we have a 23 until/if any returns happen.

The Gens website now reports that Padulo has been traded to Barrie for a draft pick.

I've also heard from other sources that Alcock is on waivers, and not expected to return to the team. Hopefully they can get something for him too.
